I found outrageous news that several student groups in ASU decided to support these attackers.
According to the article of Breitbart, a student group called MECHA de ASU claimed the two white students in the viral video had “provoked” the female students by displaying what they called “their white nationalist symbols and slogans” — referring to the laptop sticker, which read, “Police Lives Matter.”
“A space that is meant to uplift and center black, indigenous, and people of color was transformed into a white nationalist soapbox,” the student group insisted.
“Institutions like ASU have again and again promised to keep BIPOC students safe from this racist, fascist attacks and they have again and again failed,” the student group said, adding that the school has even “gone as far as protecting these white nationalists.”
You can see the rest of the statements that support the attackers above. This is unforgivable. These white students never provoked anyone! They were just minding their own business, and student groups like MECHA de ASU made a false accusation, blaming these innocent White students committed racist, fascist attacks.
They even demanded “defund ASU police,” as well as the “expulsion of the two white male students,” a “ban of police lives matter stickers,” and to allow the multicultural center “the power to remove any students from the space as they see fit.”
This is straight-up disrespect to all police officers, and they're trying to justify this bullying, harassment incident while making sure these attackers get away freely without consequences.
We need more support.
We can't let these hateful, racist student groups win. They're trying to make an environment where you get discriminated against by race. ASU shouldn't surrender to this mob, or the truth and justice will be lost.
It's time for us to push against these groups, full of hate and racism. The more people join, the more we will get stronger, and we have to show these groups that hate and racism will not be tolerated in the world today.
Share this petition to anyone, anyone you can reach. We have to make sure ASU hears us, not them.
Let's work together and join the fight against racism and hate.
