This petition is KEEP the Professional Firemen at their current location, at the City Building in Moundsville, WV. Why? By keeping the Professional Fire Dept intact and where it is will keep both residential and commercial insurances low (Paree Insurance). By eliminating the Proff. Fire Dept. the rates WILL go up (Paree Insurance). Also, by keeping the Paid Dept intact and located where they are keeps them strategically located in the center of the city which is an ideal location for responding to calls in a effective manner. Added, if the Paid Dept is relocated they will be forced to lose a fire engine, a rescue truck, their cascade system for filling their tanks and storage for their hazmat equipment and their exercise equipment. Basically the Professional Fire Dept of Moundsville could be lost, over 100 years of dedicated service could be gone.
