Ontario Association of Architects
May 17, 2016
Last Friday, May 13, the Ontario Association of Architects made an official submission to the Ministry regarding the draft Culture Strategy, including recommendations which would make the draft strategy more inclusive and recognize the role of architecture and design in Ontario's culture. The submission also included a copy of all comments made as part of this petition.
Throughout this consultation process there have been numerous official submissions made by the architecture and design community and its allies. To date we have received copies of letters sent by: Toronto Society of Architects, Hamilton/Burlington Society of Architects, Northern Ontario Society of Architects, Laurentian School of Architecture, John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, Royal Architecture Institute of Canada, and Ontario Library Association. We have included a link where you can find a copy of all submissions.
While the official consultation period closed last Friday, May 13, we have decided to keep the petition open and active until the Ministry corrects the omission of architecture and design from Ontario's draft Culture Strategy. Help us grow the petition by sharing it with family, friends and colleagues to show the Ministry that Ontarians care about architecture and design in their province!
Together we can help make architecture and design part of Ontario's Culture Strategy!
