Florida black bears face an imminent threat in the form of a piece of legislation that, if signed into law, will allow people to kill bears by simply saying they "reasonably believed their life, a loved one's life, or their property was in danger they believed such force was necessary. The proposed bills have failed to mention that you already have a right to self-defense. No one in the State of Florida has ever been killed by a black bear.
