Dear Supporters,
This week some of us celebrated the life of our dear friend and colleague Khadija Saye, her mother Mary Mendy and three other victims of the Grenfell Fire, Berkti Haftom and her 12-year-old son Beruk and five-year-old Isaac Palous. Not long after this event there was some breaking news that the Met Police have 'reasonable grounds' to suspect Kensington council and KCTMO have committed corporate manslaughter!
This is good news. Documents have been seized and people will in due course be interviewed. However the legislation under which these interviews will be conducted does not allow for arrests, so although we know there is progress we must still keep the pressure going and support the victims, residents and all those living around to make sure that justice is served and all those responsible for this are punished!
Please do keep sharing this petition. This fight is not over!
With Warmest Wishes
Barby Asante
