We have been bearing witness to the repeated abuses that black and dark-hued people are suffering that other beings in the same instance are spared. The list is frighteningly long of examples of Black Lives not Mattering. Blackness and Darkness are derided and targeted from the moment that we are taught detestable definitions for both words that also describe the color of my and my children's skin.

Please continue to support this request that Merriam Webster strip both Black and Dark (and their iterations) of negative and harmful definitions that support a learned implicit bias against black and dark-skinned human beings of all ages.
