Virginity is a toxic concept that causes women to feel embarrassed by the consensual sex that they have. This embarrassment leads to slut-shaming and victim blaming. As we slowly dismantle the patriarchy, the next step is to give women full autonomy over their bodies. If we label the term virginity as "archaic," we can keep this concept in the past, where it belongs.
