Expose NPHIndianapolis, IN, United States
Jan 29, 2024

We need to spread awareness of our mission too request a deep government investigation into Neuropsychiatric Hospitals, their investors, owners, and employee contractors (AIMS-MED LLC, AIMS, etc.); advocate for patients rights, reform care and set minimum safety and non-pharmaceutical management options standards and improve mental health inpatient care by creating awareness of unethical, unhygienic, neglectful, fraudulent, coercive, abusive and/or sub-standard care!

Hospitals like Neuropsychiatric Hospitals of Indiana are protected by the lack of rights for “psychiatric” patients in Indiana HEA 1006. Michigan, and Illinois routinely transport patients to Indiana for care where their residents are striped of their rights!

Indiana HEA 1006 and hospitals like neuropsychiatric hospitals claim to relieve police, prevent patient’s boarding in ER’s, and get patients proper care and treatment. HEA 1006 also includes “addiction” to be used as a “mental illness” for forced detention/medication without representation!

However due Indiana’s lack of;
-rights protections
-attorneys specialized in this area of law
-advocacy groups power
-oversight or transparency
-government protection
-requirements for patients to have access to non-pharmaceutical therapies such as;

-religious and non-religious centered programs
-structured activities
-right to go outside.
-support groups
-social work
-psychology
-therapist/counselors
-EDMR
-DBT
-life style change education on nutrition,
sleep habits, substance use, and exercise, etc..
-Education on community access & resources for external stressors such as (poverty, being unhoused, childcare, employment, elder care, financial resources, programs, charities etc.)

Organizations like NPH have been able to operate while horrendous claims of;
-neglect
-lack of appropriate care
-inhumane conditions
-forced or coerced medication changes without proper care,monitoring, or informed consent.
-improper detention of patients by holding them based on insurance coverage days and not based on individual improvements.
-abuse
-coercion
-threats
-fraudulent billing
-worsened patient outcomes
-medication error
-lack of nutritional options (fresh fruit or vegetables, not enough calories offered to prevent weight loss, etc)

creating bigger and more expensive problem while victims and insurance companies foot the bill! We need to ensure quality care, uphold patient rights and hold accountable mental health facilities that profit off of people pain and suffering without properly caring for them like NPH in Indiana.

We need to make our voice heard for those that are unable to advocate for themselves!

We need to let Indiana know we will stand up for patients rights and end fraud, abuse, and neglect of vulnerable members of society for profit!
