Universal Credit is paid 5 weeks in arrears. People take loans to cover the interim and gain more debt. If you start work, or if you are in work and your income increases,  the following month your Universal Credit is reduced by 63% of your extra income. People find it hard to understand their Universal Credit and find it difficult to budget. Stress at work and In work poverty are increasing. Universal Basic Income does not have these problems. UBI is a simple base for individuals and for the economy.
