Update of Progress

Thank you, everyone, for signing this petition. I have done the following so far in the fight to Save Dumbarton Street Grassland (DSG): 1. Completed the first draft of a document that outlines the issues and my arguments for why Dumbarton Street Grasslands should be managed as a grassland and wildlife reserve. 2. Written to State and Federal Ministers (Environment and Sitting Members in my electorate) and Local Government (Darebin City Council), sharing my outline of the issue. I have had a reply from Robin Scott's Office (Member for Preston, Vic Gov); they intend to follow-up the issue. 3. Contacted the Preston Leader (Local Newspaper), who published an article regarding the proposed development of the site. I have been contacted by the reporter (Ed Gardiner) who is wanting to publish another article about the local community's concerns and environmental interest in the land, including a photo of locals. 4. Created a Facebook Group: Friends of Dumbarton Street Grassland. 12 members so far. Please support the cause by joining the group 5. Created a petition through Change.org 6. Contacted Environmental Groups: Indigenous Flora and Fauna Association (IFFA), Greening Australia, Landcare, Darebin Creek Management Committee, Friends of Grasslands. 7.
