Melbourne City Council is forcing the closure of innovative Melbourne restaurant Brothl ('broth' with an l) because their progressive environmental practices do not comply with Melbourne's City Council's outdated local laws.

Brothl is setting a world trend by operating with no waste. They source high quality food that would otherwise be landfill and successfully avoid recycling and waste of any kind. They receive 'loose' milk in stainless steal vats from the dairy and use a newly identified microbe to rapidly decompose food scraps and then send the compost directly to a farm.

I'm Anne. I just heard about this on the radio this morning and it tears me up that such a progressive, sensible restaurant is being forced to shut down because the local council cannot get behind them.  

Let's pressure Melbourne City Counsil into updating their local laws to support these world innovators to lead environmentally sustainable restaurant practices.
