Please sign this petition to let Nillumbik Council know that we consider Hurstbridge Farmgate an asset to our village life. It builds community and fosters healthy, sustainable growing and eating practices. It is exactly the type of micro enterprise that encompasses our Green Wedge values.

Hurstbridge Farmgate is  a tiny local farm that provides seasonal veggies, herbs,  fruit & flowers. Volumes are not large but the produce is high quality and sustainably grown.

Farmgate is a happy, relaxed meeting place for locals. The owners, Paula and John pick fresh very early on Saturday mornings & share their produce with the local community, in a beautiful space at a small cost.

Council have closed Farmgate down and asked them to apply for a Market Garden permit. We don't want a market garden, we want to keep a small, local farmgate where we can meet, chat and browse for a few minutes on a Saturday morning.
