Slaughter announcement expected any day

We expected an announcement of this year's annual kangaroo slaughter by the end of April, but we have heard nothing yet. It is possible the government could start shooting on the reserves without public announcement this year, hoping to avoid the usual protest action. As noted in the original information we posted, the government did this last year, apparently with police agreement, in some other public places. We are keeping watch.
