Don't Eradicate the Narrabundah Peafowls.

Don't Eradicate the Narrabundah Peafowls.
The issue
The ACT Government is proposing to eradicate the peafowl population in Narrabundah by relocation interstate and, where it is not possible to relocate, to euthanise the remaining birds.
The Narrabundah Peafowls have cohabited peacefully with local residents and have been a loved part of the landscape for over twenty years.
Not one scrap of credible evidence has been presented to demonstrate why the birds have to go.
We demand that the birds be left alone to continue providing joy and colour to our local area for the benefit of all Canberrans.
