Calling on Dr. Gimpel to resign as head of NBOME for complete failure in leadership during COVID 19

I believe that Dr. Gimpel should resign due to his complete lack of leadership during the COVID 19 pandemic. Whereas the NBME acted and canceled the USMLE step 2 CS, NBOME has done nothing. During his video conference in May, he showed that he isn’t listening to student concerns and couldn’t care less about what is best for us. COSGP released survey results showing that overwhelming students feel that the COMLEX PE should be canceled, and residency’s should be blinded to the results. Instead of facing the student's concerns, the NBOME never responded, and Gimpel deactivated his Twitter account, like a complete coward! He’s unfit to lead, we deserve better, and so does the American healthcare system. Anything he does or says in the future has already lost credibility because all the people he is supposed to lead (students) hate him. How can someone be an effective leader when everyone they are supposed to lead hates them? If he doesn’t resign, then he should be removed from his position. His decision to continue to force the class of 2021 to take the PE puts DO students health at risk and puts us at a disadvantage when applying to residency. I believe this decision was made out of pride and a refusal to admit he’s wrong. He’s a prideful, arrogant coward, and he should resign immediately!
