This is Maizie, a very sweet and shy girl at McLean County Animal Control. I had the pleasure of meeting this sweetheart a few weeks ago when she was out for a Puptown Adventure through Paws 4 a Cause in Bloomington, Illinois. Like many shelter dogs, she was pretty shy, and unsure if she could trust people. But she would warm up to you so quickly once she knew you wouldn't hurt her, and was quite a love bug!

Maizie was adopted about a week ago, and was recently returned. Her new owner said she had bit a child, and asked Animal Control to euthanize this sweet little girl. This is completely unfair, considering there was no proof of a bite, or what the circumstances where that could of led up to her being scared enough to bite. She is NOT an aggressive dog! I am so worried that a child might of rushed at her and scared her.. she is very shy. 

Animal Control should NOT euthanize a shy dog with an irresponsible owner. It was stated many times in Maizie's description that she was shy, and wary of kids. So why did this happen?? She does not deserve this fate. Please sign this petition and tell Animal Control to give Maizie another chance!
