The Mohawks won their injunction for McGill to stop work on the renos that would have seen the grave sites and their evidence expoliated for all time had not a judge intervened.
Despite assurances from McGill & the City of Montreal in the spring that all considerations would be met, not one attempt to reach out or respond to the Mohawks or MECAM was attempted back.
Empire will have a hard time covering this over.
The Petition will not close until every condition has been met in order to satisfy discovery for all concerned parties. In this case, those parties are the Mohawks and MECAM.
Lana Ponting's testimony was recently used in the law suit brought on by the Mohawk Mothers vs. McGill Uni to verify that indeed, she saw evidence of buried bodies on the very site the pool sits today. Lana was 16. She is now 80. Her testimony is rocking the cradle of Kanukistan. Thank you Lana.
