McGill University & the Quebec Infrastructure Society have both issued letters to Honorable Grand Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer that our petition mandates will be met.

Undoing the legacies of dark lab war crimes is work. There is a lot more work ahead. This small victory will serve to mark the beginning of the end of the cover up of what really went on in the dark labs. Only then can we face healing and resolution, collectively and individually.

Thank you so much for your support.

English version letter from the Quebec Infrastructure Society below:

As mentioned in our previous correspondence, dated August 30th, the SQI has received a mandate from the Government of Quebec to revitalize this former hospital complex, including the portion of
the site dedicated to the activities of the Allan Memorial Institute.
There have recently been a number of publications in the media regarding the potential presence of burial sites in the area of the Allan Memorial Institute, which may be related to past activities on the
site (see attachment). Thus, the SQI and the MSSS, in collaboration with McGill University, would like to address a number of concerns that have been discussed in the public arena. The SQI is positively disposed to receiving any information that would allow it to document the reported details and to collaborate in the development of an action plan.
The MSSS and the SQI have a long-standing relationship with Indigenous peoples and understand the importance of maintaining a relationship of trust between the parties. We therefore invite you to contact Sophie Mayes (smayes@sqi.gouv.qc.ca), general manager of the
redevelopment of the site of the former Royal-Victoria hospital at the SQI, or to contact Carole Arbour

(carole.arbour@msss.gouv.qc.ca), responsible for special cases and real estate transactions, at the
MSSS to follow up on this offer of collaboration. If needed, the Secrétariat aux affaires autochthones
will accompany the SQI and the MSSS in these next steps.
Thanking you in advance for your attention and consideration.
Honorable Grand Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer, please accept our best regards.
