Exciting news today!

Just thirteen hours ago this petition reached 17 500 signatures! We are working together to make an enormous change on the planet. Every signature brings us closer to the end of disposable plastic straws. This wouldn't be possible without you.

In other news, McDonald's recently announced that they would be phasing out plastic straws in all of their Australian locations. There are over 970 McDonalds in the country, and the company plans to eliminate plastic straws in all of them within the next four years!

The fast-food chain has also begun testing out plastic straw alternatives in Belgium and will start testing in France, US, Sweden, and Norway later this year.

We are now one step closer to our goal of phasing out plastic straws in all McDonald's locations!

I've teamed up with Mya & Eve, the creators of the Starbucks #BetterCup petition, to make a new petition. McDonald's recently announced that they'd be working with Starbucks to create a fully recyclable and compostable cup. Both companies have invested $10 million into the project. We're asking Tim Horton's (a Canadian café with thousands of locations in Canada, US, and soon China) to join the other two companies by investing $10 million as well.
