5 reasons I think we can get a McVeggie

Sep 15, 2014 — Hey everyone,

We're over 100,000 signatures on the petition for McDonald's to offer a plant-based McVeggie option that is hearty, delicious. I wanted to check in to say thank you. I think this having an impact.

Here are 5 reasons I am optimistic McDonald's will listen to customers.

1- Your support has helped getting a lot of positive attention for this campaign. The Wall Street Journal's 'Corporate Intelligence' blog wrote a terrific piece titled 'Attention McDonald’s: The People Demand McVeggie.'

2- Subway is continuing to test “Malibu Garden” and “Black Bean” vegan options in additional markets.

3- White Castle is testing veggie sliders in certain markets!

4- Dunkin Donuts is offering almond milk in most of its stores.

5- At the McDonald's annual meeting in May, an executive for the company told people "we know we need to add more" vegetarian options.

So having said all that, I thank you for your continued support and hope you will continue to tell people about this important step for health, animal welfare, and sustainability.
