After Beyond Meat launched with a bang, the future looks plant-based.

The vegan meat company went public last week with the biggest IPO since 2000 acquiring almost a quarter of a billion to expand its line of plant-based meats.

This big market indicator was followed by speculation over Beyond Meat’s board member, Don Thompson, former chief executive at McDonald’s —that the iconic fast-food chain might soon be serving Beyond burgers on their U.S menus.

This prediction further magnifying McDonald’s CEO, Steve Easterbrook’s, comment about a meat-free burger on U.S. menus: “We’ll stay close to consumer demand.” If former McDonald’s leadership believes in Beyond Meat, the market demand for a plant-based burger is already here.
