Our beloved mini potbelly pig is not allowed in city limits due to outdated Mcalester city code, that does not allow swine of any kind within city limits.  The code was written to keep pig farms out of Mcalester city limits, not pet pigs.  The city of Mcalester, OK  needs to update its code, and the ordinance needs to be amended to allow for pigs that are considered pets and not livestock.  Pigs are gentile and they do not stink at all.  He is one of the family and needs to be with us.
