If the MBTA subway system was to extend its nightly hours, specifically on weekends, it would greatly impact and change the lives of college students and young professionals throughout the city of Boston. The current hours of the subway system have left many with few options to reach their homes after a night at a concert or catching up with friends. This has caused a heavy reliance on other forms of transportation like Uber and Lyft. Reliance on these companies can be quite expensive for many students in Boston. If the T was to stay open for a few more hours each night, the young people of Boston would have a cheaper and more convienient way of safely getting to his or her final destinations.
