I am happy to say that Kelly surprised me today and in a show of a true commitment to progress, overcame internal party politics to meet with Commissioner Deshmane and I. The meeting went very well and we discussed just about every aspect of the benefits of fiber and compared it with other technologies. I now believe that Kelly is the candidate that can break up the intentional stalling that the Port has been engaged in under its current leadership to benefit special interests at our expense, including the stalling on using the tens of missions of dollars that the State already grated them to pursue a rural broadband project years ago that they've been sitting on, even during the pandemic. She also immediately started reading the books that I recommended to her starting with "Fiber" by Susan Crawford. So, as I said, I'm not officially endorsing anyone this election cycle, because of bad experiences with it in the past, but I think you deserve to know how my meeting with officials and candidates have gone and this one went very well.
