Hello courageous public broadband supporters! This update is short. The FCC has put out an important survey, which I've linked to here. They are no longer trusting the ISPs to tell them about performance and want your input. No doubt the industry will try to flood the survey with false information. So I urge you to fill it out. The top 3 issues I will be telling them about are: 1. the need for accurate network load testing like rrul NOT big telecom biased, inaccurate testing like speedtest.net and the WA state internet tester. 2. The need for public fiber to all homes. I'll relate it to the rural electrification act. 3. The need for OpenAccess and Dig Once policies nationwide and to mandate that all areas with existing public networks immediately allow the people that paid for them to have access to them. (Ex. The existing COB network we paid for and still don't have access to.)
