I received the following reply from the PUD's general manager today. I want to urge you again to reach out and thank the PUD for their work on broadband. Please remember that between the PUD and the Port they have jurisdiction over the entire county. So while the city plays unnecessary games with our future, at least there are some public entities that are working in our interest. 

"The Commission has called for a special Commission meeting on January 19th at 8:00 am for the purpose of having a “Commission discussion” on broadband.  This was called at the regular meeting this last Tuesday the 12th.

This meeting on the 19th will be a “public meeting” but considered a work session for the Commission so the public will be able to listen to the discussion but no public comment period is planned.
