Greetings valiant public fiber supporters! I write with good news today. Thanks largely to your efforts, the offending language in the City's broadband resolution I pointed out last time, banning the Broadband Advisory Group from discussing just about every broadband topic, was removed from the resolution by the council on Monday. I have therefore applied to be on the Broadband Advisory Group. Now would be the time to let your council and mayor know who you would like to be on the advisory group, otherwise it could easily get filled by members that don't have the best interests of the community in mind. On top of that, the COB is discussing Dig Once and other broadband issues soon. So asking them to adopt a proper Dig Once Policy, like the one the community provided them with based off of the South San Francisco Dig Once Policy and the Mount Vernon Conduit Ordinance, would be a good idea too. As always, I am very thankful for your help. Here is their contact information.
