As we've talked about before the Port and PUD are both talking about fiber. I'd highly recommend that you check out Christine Grant's platform for PUD commissioner. She'll do the right thing on fiber and, on a personal note, I believe on water and energy too. Something our city and county governments still, sadly, need to do. We all know there has been too much talk and no action, even in this time of crisis, from our leaders and that they have no good reasons for it. I find Christine to be highly intelligent, compassionate, hard-working and much more. Mostly, we need candidates that are willing to modernize our infrastructure to meet, and eventually surpass, that of other developed countries like South Korea, Japan, etc. and even some other US cities like Anacortes, WA, Mount Vernon, WA, Chatanooga, TN, Wilson, NC and many others that have already moved ahead with public fiber. Please remember that any network is only as good as the fiber that is backing it up.
