I just wanted to say thanks to Liz Lovelett (State Senator 40th District), Christine Grant (PUD Candidate), and Atul Deshmane (PUD Commissioner) for having a chat with me today about the importance of fiber. Senator Lovelett, especially, has extensive experience on the topic, thanks largely to her work in Anacortes, who now has a public fiber network that charges $70 a month for Gigabit fiber to the home and has a 100 MBit option for $40 a month. Please support these wonderful people, they are working hard for us :). 

Along the same lines, I am going to start hosting online question and answer sessions on these topics, stay tuned for a schedule, I will have to restrict the number of participants because of my awful Comcast connection, but we'll do the best we can :). Our rules of conduct will be the same that we use at Linuxfest Northwest.
