I had a busy week this week and met with 2 city council candidates and 1 mayoral candidate/current council member. All of the meetings went well. I won't try to summarize what each candidates' concerns were here, as everyone is different, but on the whole, I feel like everyone I met with is starting to see fiber as the critical infrastructure that it is. I also believe they realize that only public fiber can meet the future needs of a community, create real competition, and help us address most of our social and economic concerns. Of course, actions speak louder than words so we'll have to keep an eye on what happens this election season.
