Here is an article on what the big telecoms, like AT&T, did to try and make sure the net-neutrality repeal would go their way. I am always shocked when the COB says that we have to do business with these companies. The COB has told me many times that they "have to." The truth is they don't. They can refuse to on the grounds that doing business with anti-net neutral companies violates our code of ethics. As they say in this article, "you are known by the company you keep." Until we get a Dig Once Policy, a real choice in providers, good low-income connections, and reasonable rates for broadband services, most of the telecom company we keep will continue to be the lowest of the low. So why do all of these guys that tell us they care about social justice keep backing up companies like Verizon, AT&T, CenturyLink, Comcast, etc.?
