Hello, the house bill I wrote about in my last update that will help allow ports in our state to get us better access via private-public partnerships, using the open access model, and via net-neutral providers is, "Scheduled for executive session in the House Committee on Technology & Economic Development at 1:30 PM tomorrow." So please, if you haven't already, contact your state representatives about this bill. It is just a simple policy change that costs them no money to implement and would make a huge difference. Also, there is a companion bill in the senate for it as well (SB-6426), so please contact your state senators too. Whichever way your officials vote on this will show you whether they understand, and can be trusted, on telecom issues regardless of their party affiliations.
