As always, I hope this e-mail finds you well. Last night I was fortunate enough to get to speak to the awesome people associated with the bellingham.codes group from Slack about fiber. The meeting was held at the glorious Foundry Makerspace located at 1000 F St. I should note that there were two other awesome presentations that night as well. They were given by two very talented developers on React Native and Open Source PRs. As far as fiber goes, I haven't posted an update in a while because there are a lot of positive things going on in the background right now that I'm waiting for the results of. In the meantime we need to continue to collect signatures. As Michael Lilliquist said to me recently, "we wouldn't be anywhere without your advocacy." With that said this is hardly just my movement. It is all of you that have helped this cause get this far and if I haven't said so in a while, let me say again how grateful I am for all of your support. As Arthur C. Clarke said Every Revolutionary Idea has 3 stages of reaction: --"Some people say," 1. It's completely impossible. -- Then when you prove it's more than possible they say 2. It's possible, but it's not worth doing or too expensive, etc. -- Then when you prove that it is worth doing, and not too expensive, etc., especially after they have it or start using it they say, 3. I said it was a good idea all along. - Arthur C. Clarke (with embellishments from me starting with --) Thanks to all of you we're just starting to come out of stage 2. Live long and prosper :).
