Large Providers That Throttle Your Connections

Although this is a how-to article, I am passing it along to highlight the ideas surrounding how many of the big providers throttle connections. They then require the companies, like Netflix, to pay them ransoms (called "fast lane" access) raising the rates of services for all and degrading the same services for those that can't afford the ransoms. This is one of the strongest arguments to have our own public network, local providers, and become self-sufficient.
