Hello everyone, thanks again for your support. Michael Lilliquist and I have been talking about the following revolutionary policy that San Francisco has put into place allowing any certified ISP to go into any apartment building. This means tenants will have services from multiple providers available in one building which increases competition and choice. Also, some of the providers know how to make better use of wiring that was put into many of these buildings by default, as they were being built, and is largely underutilized. This wiring is often at least up to 10x faster than incoming cable provider connections. In fact, putting fiber into most new buildings is recommended, as the cost of the wiring is pennies on the dollar when compared with other costs. Check it out :). I've proposed that we put this policy on the books in Bellingham too ASAP.
