Over the last 2 years I met with as many people as possible, including providers, IT directors, and really anyone with experience in this matter. I have an excellent outline of what has happened with Fiber in Bellingham. Today I received mostly good news. Ken Mann has admitted that this idea deserves further consideration. Still, the meeting I have been offered with the IT director and the PUD director is far from a commitment to pursue this import venture. Also, other than Michael and Ken the others have been silent. It's why we really need to get to at least 500 signatures, preferably 1,000, so we can present this to the City and County Councils. On an important side note, I had a phone conversation with Representative Kristine Lytton today who also thinks that this is a great idea. The list of towns that are doing this keeps growing. It's past time for Bellingham to do the same. I'll let you know the results of the meeting.
