The Issue
- Essex Power is an asset. To sell an asset at a time when the Town of Amherstburg is strugling under a huge debt load would result in a small short term gain. The loss of the revenue from this asset would never be recouped, however the huge debt would still be there. We need to sell liabilities even at at loss to rid THE taxpayers of continuing expanding debt. DO NOT SELL ASSETS.
