Port Stephens Council is proposing to massively increase your rates by 55%, 66%, or 77%.

Even a 55% rate increase will mean people on fixed incomes or pensions will struggle, let alone what a 66% or 77% increase will do to people.

No glossy list of projects will make this huge increase worthwhile.

Electricity prices are rising out of control, pensions aren't increasing, inflation is increasing, interest rates may start to go up soon, rent keeps increasing, unemployment is rising, businesses are closing down, and people are already struggling.

And all of this is without a rate increase.
