Dear Neighbors,
It's time for a neighbor revolt!!
We are reaching out to you today because we need your help bringing about immediate change in Oakland. On May 30th, there will be a crucial community meeting on crime and violence at Oakland City Hall and we cannot afford to stay silent any longer. Our demands carry weight and it's time for us, as a united group of passionate and concerned neighbors, to express our righteous anger over the current conditions of our city.
In the realm of Oakland politics, it is often the loudest and most persistent voices that yield the greatest results. The collapse of our city has accelerated at an alarming rate, particularly following recent elections. It is evident that, once again, we have made poor choices in selecting our representatives. Rather than listening to the needs of the community and local businesses, our elected officials seem to prioritize the loud voices of special interests with dangerous luxury politics.
But we say, "No MORE!" We cannot afford to wait until 2024 when we have the opportunity to vote on five (5) City Council seats and reclaim our city. We need immediate support from City Hall to create a safe and livable environment for all residents, and that's where you come in.
We implore you to join us at the community meeting on May 30th. Let's gather as a strong and united front, expressing our demands through buttons, signs and vocally advocating for a safe and livable city that benefits everyone.
Together, we have the power to effect change, but we need your presence and support to make it happen. Stand with us and be part of this critical movement. Please write to andrew@neighborstogetheroakland.org to let us know if you will be attending and would like a button.
Thank you for your commitment to a better Oakland.
