The trials and tribulations of the London Skyline have been all over the news in recent days, as journalists have gone to down on the evils of the last twenty years of super tall developments. Having learnt from those lessons, now is the time to start thinking about the new opportunity presented to London by all the necessary future house-building, if we take seriously the aesthetic and functional challenge this offers. We can create new neighbourhoods, upgrade others, develop new types of housing that provide better answers to current requirements. We need to be BOLD, and thorough and consistent.
