Hello Lovely People!

Thank you so very much for your support. I really appreciate every single signature - the knowledge that you are all out there thinking positive thoughts for this campaign keeps me going!

I wanted to give you a brief update on what is happening….

• Due to all the noise we have made so far, council have extended the Have Your Say community submission part of the process from Dec 15th last year to Feb 15th this year. 
• There was a fantastic article in The Age on Christmas Eve here…
• The submission I am writing around this petition is going well - I have the help of about 30 subject matter experts and am pulling on science, research, and other existing Nature Strip Guidelines.
• I had a meeting with 3 councillors and the Mayor the other day- it went well and I am cautiously optimistic about some councillors but I know a few other councillors are going to need more than just the “community and environment angle” unfortunately - so I am working on economic research as well.

This petition will be very important to help convince all the councillors that the draft NSGs needs to be re-written. I know you are all so busy but if you could keep sharing this petition that would be amazing - I would love to take between 7000-10,000 signatures to Mayor Marcus Pearl to back up the submission on Feb 13th.

So. Just over 3 weeks to go!
