Chicago Black Wall Street (CBWS) State Street Initiative "Resurrecting Black Wall Street on State Street” for The State Street Food Co-op in the city’s Douglas community of Bronzeville, targeting the Dearborn Homes.

We’re proud to be hosted by Chicago South Loop Hotel, 2600 S. State Street, during August National Black Business Month.

CBWS State Street Initiative is to create a vibrant, high-quality and diverse Cooperative Grocery Store in collaboration with community partners. Its direction is omitting the long over due grocery store for Dearborn Homes, and the surrounding community, empowering its residents to ownership consumers, as well as community-wide, empowerment in business, economic development to create jobs and business owners to raise the overall income of community residents.

The meeting welcomes your participation and we know your role will be rewarding with the city as a whole.
