After 9 long months of contacting our Mayor and Commissioner, a respondent responded to Tara Molina at CBS last winter and said that there was a plan in effect for this coming winter.
Most of the time, during the summer, spring and fall, no one really cares about the snow…that is…until the snow hits and it effects everyone. So let’s dive back into it. Let’s continue to make our voices heard and pass on this petition. I’m not looking forward to another brutal winter. Winters in Chicago has caused people to move before it happens again.
How many of you want to move to a warmer climate? How many of you have said, I’m not dealing with this winter anymore because I don’t want to deal with another brutal winter? I know I don’t want to walk everywhere or get on public transportation because my car is stuck in the snow because I can’t dig it out or there’s nowhere to put the snow?
I want to know what plan the Commissioner and/or Mayor have in effect for this coming winter. Are they prepared? WE NEED A BETTER SNOW REMOVAL PLAN! Some may say, none of our ideas will work. Granted, some may not work, but you will never know if something works or does not work without trying it. Let’s flood our Mayors social media and our Streets and Sanitation social media with answers to a better snow removal plan. What do they plan to do this year? Are they prepared?
Pass on this petition to your friends and family. Let’s try our best to come up with many plans and take it to our mayor. Let’s get those signatures in. The more, the better. I’ll print them myself and take it down to our Mayors and Commissioners office.
We’re at 1,683 signatures. Let’s get to 2,000. Every thousand that we hit, I will go to their offices personally to bring signatures and a letter. I will ask in person what is the plan. We want answers and a plan!
