There is a bill in the Illinois House that would amend the existing safety education in schools law to include water safety! Kids would grow up understanding dangerous currents, the signs of drowning, how to stay safe while attempting a rescue, and to never enter the water alone. YOU CAN HELP GET IT PASSED! We need to flood the committee with witness slips in support.

Step 2: Fill out the form like the attached picture. Put "Self" wherever you aren't sure what to put and click the "Proponent" box. 

Step 3: Click, "Create slip" and your done! 

Illinois lost two school buses worth of SCHOOL-AGED kids to drowning in the last three years. More school-aged kids die by drowning than fires, earthquakes, tornados, and active shooters COMBINED. It is time we save some lives!
