This monument has been in it's existing and a nearby place for over 60 years. Within hours learning about this monument's existence San Diego's Mayor Kevin Falconer had it removed. Thank you Mayor, Councilmember Chris Ward, Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez and every person who stood up for what is right. San Diego has no room for racism, and even though we have a long way to go, knowing we have dedicated leaders is truly heartening!
