The Issue

Above is a video of a recent event at the Bowmanville Zoo. Animal cruelty is not just restricted to at home events, it also takes place in public facilities.

Animals are continually abused and neglected every day! Currently the fines in the City of Toronto are $240 if you break the bylaws such as keeping more than six cats or more than three dogs, failing to provide adequate care for their animal or keeping them in unsanitary conditions. I believe the fines should be raised from $240 to $1500. This will allow the person who committed the crime to analyze their actions and they will be less likely to do it again. This issue effects everyone its time to make a change, lets give a voice to the voiceless!
