Carnival Colorado Springs seems to be our new mantra.  The Parks Dept. has bestowed a new Master Plan Masterpiece for our 3 historic downtown parks deeded by our founder, General Palmer, who must be turning over in his grave.

• If you care about fiscal responsibility and think that rather than spending millions on all the shiny objects and gizmos, all we need is some fertilizer, lawn mowers, and water in the manicured parks and some shovels and rakes for trail maintenance.  You will recall we traded away one of the most iconic meadows on the entire front range teeming with wildlife because the Parks Dept. said they didn't have enough money to clean the almost non-existent trash in it...  
• If you believe mall food courts and activity booths will cause gobs more trash inviting more homeless visitors who will be attracted to the abundance of food and beverage waste...
