Did you know that the average bus emits 16x the nitrous oxide and 28x the particulate matter as cars? London has such a problem with bus pollution they have installed air purifiers at bus stops. For commercial amusement parks like Disneyworld, buses can make sense as they are always full, but for smaller, natural parks, especially in narrow canyons, buses are poor stewardship of natural parks. The answer is not bus more in...it is to control crowds. Hanging Lake just dropped their daily visitor caps to from over 1,000 to 615 per day. Most major parks implement permits to keep crowds sizes in balance with the environment. Join us in protecting our special natural resources.
