Divest LA makes huge headway- Los Angeles City Council members Mitch O’Farrell, Paul Koretz, and Mike Bonin, have introduced a motion to #DivestLA from Wells Fargo! This is the first success for the movement. We need CONTINUED public pressure for the city to take additional steps to strengthen the language, and place the motion on the agenda! We will not stop until Los Angeles officially severs its financial ties from Wells Fargo, revises the city’s investment policies, and amend the Responsible Banking Ordinance to ensure that public funds are invested in ethical institutions that support the interests of the community.
