We are trying to get a stop light installed at Portia St and Sunset Blvd as soon as possible. While the city has already technically approved the stoplight to be installed, it can take up to four years to allocate funds. In the case of this intersection, that is an unacceptable amount of time due to the frequency of collisions. In the last 8 years there have been 13 collisions in this intersection, with 8 of those happening in the last 2 and a half years. While the intersection at Sunset Blvd and Mohawk St, which has had 7 collisions in the last 8 years, recently had a light installed. I am a victim of this intersection and I cannot sit back and let someone go through the same pain and suffering that I went through due to this intersection.
